Getting more time with a robot vacuum cleaner.
How to get more time in your life using a robot vacuum cleaner.
Vacuuming and mopping are one of the most time consuming tasks when cleaning a house, especially if you have kids or pets. Robot vacuum cleaner is here to help! Seriously, it might not sound as such a big deal but when you actually try it out you’ll know for yourself!
Automation at its best
With the latest robot vacuums there’s basically very little you have to do after the first setup. When you choose to buy a product with an auto empty bin function then you’re basically worry free! Most robot vacuums are controlled via an app where you can set different schedules, various cleaning regimes, map out your house to the inch and much more! With many models you can set so to say forbidden zones, for example a kids room with toys laying on the floor in the daytime, some places with a lot of wires and so on. With extra dustbin (and now even a extra water tank for some products) you just every once in a while have to empty them and that’s it! When you don’t have these you’ll need to clean the robot on every use but that takes only a few minutes compared to perhaps hours if to clean everything yourself.
All the extra time it gives you
While the robot is quietly doing it’s job you are free to, well, to do whatever you want to be honest. Perhaps you want to read a book, cook something, or go outside to have a little jog. Speaking from a personal experience, buying a robot vacuum has been one of the best decisions I made regards to household appliances. If to add together all the saved daily minutes and hours it comes to a really considerable number!
Advancements in technology
It has been nearly 20 years since the first Roomba has been released for example. Yes, in the beginning and even 10 years ago there were quite many issues with robot vacuums. They got stuck everywhere, fell down the stairs, went where they didn’t supposed to go and there are even some stories of robot vacuums going out of the house to have a little stroll on the streets. Batteries didn’t last long, control functions were limited and so on. But things have changed significantly and most, if not all of these problems are in the best. They have just gotten smart! And will continue to do so in the future.
Price
Robot vacuums used to be luxury items in a sense, very few people could afford them. But now you can get a very decent machine only for a couple hundred dollars. And even the top notch products aren’t so expensive. You can have a look of our buying guide for more details.
Downsides
It’s honestly pretty difficult to find any downsides of robot vacuums. Obviously they don’t do as a perfect job as a professional cleaner would do and they can’t reach all the nooks and crannies but that’s about it. It comes down to the necessity of this kind of product and if you feel like cleaning takes too long, then go and try it out!
